Responsibilities:
• Applicant shall be organized and confident in working with project architects and engineers in leading design and subcontractor teams.
• Structural engineering of cold formed steel and steel structures.
• Preparing engineering calculations and submittals.
• Assisting with all aspects of project management from project set-up through submittal documents and shop fabrication tickets.
• Code research (building and structural)
• Leadership, project management, written and verbal communication, multitasking, and the following technical qualifications are desired:

Qualifications:
• Strong working knowledge of Revit. AutoCad a plus.
• Bachelor’s level or higher ABET accredited degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in structural design. Experience with cold formed steel design a plus.
• Junior level Engineer in Training (EIT) actively pursuing licensure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Individual must have a general understanding of project workflow from design through construction with the ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate (verbal and written) effectively with others. Objective decision-making and problem-solving skills are also desired. Travel to/from project sites and fabrication shops may be necessary.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and hear. The employee regularly is required to walk and reach with hands. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee frequently uses computer keyboard, occasionally travels (as vehicle driver and as passenger on various modes of transportation), and occasionally visits construction work sites. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitor frequently.
